Introducing our 3DX Carbon Loaded Hub Bearing Tool for 12mm Wheel Hexes (1/10th Onroad)

Incorrect hub bearing shimming and bearing issues is something very common that we see on customers cars. And thats because its quite difficult to check! As soon as you bolt on the big wheel to feel them under load, it becomes difficult to feel the bearings as the size and weight often masks and inefficiencies or binding.

Install by attaching the tool just as you would a wheel. Slide over the 4mm axle, locate the hex, and tighten a M4 wheel nut while holding the tool on it's carbon wings.

This tool allows you to load the hub just like you would with a tight wheel, but you can feel the bearings on a very fine scale with your fingers. This allows you to detect very small inefficienes or binding in the drivetrain which would otherwise not be possible to feel. 

Using the long chamfered 4mm carbon arms, you can also check the amount of play in the hub system and identify where the play is coming from, which could help determing if additional hub shims are required, or whether a part or bearing needs replacing.
